Jamie Keesling is a New York-based psychoanalyst and educator. She has written and lectured on the crisis of art criticism in the twenty-first century, the influence of psychoanalytic theories of sexuality for modern and contemporary movements for sexual liberation, and the Frankfurt School's Marxism. Current research interests include the history of psychoanalysis and politics, gender and sexuality, and Freudian and Lacanian psychoanalysis. Her writings have been published in The Art Newspaper, Caesura, Hyperallergic, The Platypus Review, and Sublation Magazine. Keesling received a BA in Visual and Critical Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MA in Critical Theory and the Arts from SVA.
