Kathleen Forde is currently the Director and Curator of Media Arts at the Carl and Marilyn Thoma Foundation, with a long history as an independent curator. She has also served as the Senior Curator for Superblue, a company dedicated to amplifying artists’ voices on issues that matter, in tandem with the meaningful presentation of large-scale experiential art. For over 20 years, Kathleen’s career as a time-based arts curator has intersected with the spheres of performance, exhibition, and technology, with a specific focus on ambitious projects and commissions in which she works with artists from first sketch to final presentation. She has collaborated with numerous institutions, including Borusan Contemporary (Istanbul), the Experimental Media & Performing Arts Center (Troy, NY), Issue Project Room (Brooklyn), The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), The University of Michigan Museum of Art, Audemars Piguet, Transmediale (Berlin) and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
