Curatorial Roundtable with Laura Zarta
September 13, 2023
MA Curatorial Practice presents a talk with Laura Zarta, chief curator of the Arts and Other Collections at the Banco de la Republica—the central bank of Colombia, which holds several museums and cultural centers throughout the country. Zarta will speak about her shows “Traces of disappearance: the cases of Urabá, Palace of Justice and Nukak territory,” the 45th National Arts Salon, “Mutis 2020-21” and “It’s a bird, it’s a plane… it’s The Yes Men,” three major exhibitions that relate to ecology, environmental rights and sustainability.
The Curatorial Roundtable, an international forum for curators and institutional leaders to discuss formative and current exhibitions and projects, is hosted by Steven Henry Madoff, the head of the MA Curatorial Practice program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
