Sophie Barfod, Class of 2026
Sophie Barfod has a Honours BSc Politics Psychology Law and Economics, with a major in business economics. Her experience spans management consultancy, corporate strategy and is currently working as the founder and CEO of her startup aiming to democratise the arts industry, next to pursuing her MA Curatorial Practise.
Driven by a commitment to moral ambition, Sophie aims to build her curatorial and arts management practise based in an attempt to open and equal artist representation. Within the MA, Sophie aims to expand her ability to critically research and add onto topics that are politically dense, such as societally embedded power structures, discrimination and gender violence. She is particularly interested in curating exhibitions that viscerally impact viewers, and target the often overlooked ‘rationally affluent’ audience.
